Session 0: Setup

This playthrough will be done in X3: Terran Conflict. I prefer to use a lot of mods, so this isn't even close to a vanilla game. Here's a list of the mods I'm using from start, along with some other links I want to keep around:

* - I haven't actually decided if I'm going to use this one yet.
** - This has been modified so that the drones cost credits when they're spawned.

In addition, I yanked the infinite salvage insurance script out of the cheat package. With a wife and two kids, I need to be able to save at any time, and I don't really agree with the design decision that saving should have an in-game consequence.

I'll be playing from the USC Commander start. I considered the Terran Defender start, but starting out in a Scimitar instead of a Sabre felt nicer. Besides, I haven't started as the USC Commander before.

Here's how I'm interpreting my orders:
1) Build relation with each race until I can buy a police license. There's nothing in there about the pirates or the Yaki, but I'm pretty sure I'll be using them as fodder.

2) I can buy/use non-Terran equipment. All those fancy ships that ASS spawned are fair game.

3) I'll be placing advanced satellites to cover each sector, probably one near each gate and one in the center. Fortunately, Galaxy Explorers can do that for me; I'll just have to grab a Kestral or two first.

After these three objectives are complete, then I'll receive a new batch of orders. Concerning the standing orders, I cannot leave my Scimitar laying around without a pilot unless it's docked to a Terran station or a station or ship that I own (barring brief trips to repair or claim ships). I also cannot sell any of my Terran equipment to a non-Terran station.

If you've got some entertaining ideas for a future set of orders, throw them at me.
